The present invention relates to in vitro cultured senescent cells, such as epithelial cells, keratinocytes and/or fibroblasts as well as their use in the treatment of tissue regeneration, particularly for the treatment of wounds such as burns or ulcers or the treatment of inflammatory conditions.
