PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massage machine which can be provided with a shoulder position discriminating function without incurring increase in cost.SOLUTION: The massage machine including a vertical position change means for changing the vertical position of a treater for massage and a sensor for the control of a vertical direction operation in the massage operation of the treater is provided with a discrimination means for discriminating the vertical direction position of the shoulder position of a person to be treated from the output of the sensor when changing the vertical position of the treater.
