PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric fishing reel capable of preventing the movement of an operation member from a position of a motor output off-state even when a user accidentally touches the operation member for adjusting output of a drive motor, and suitably ensuring operability of the operation member.SOLUTION: An electric fishing reel 1 comprises: a drive motor for rotating a spool an operation member 40 for adjusting output of the drive motor and a resistance force application mechanism 50 for applying a resistance force to the rotation of the operation member 40 in an increase direction of the motor output. The operation member 40 has a first position where the drive motor is in an output off-state, and a second position where the drive motor is rotated by a predetermined amount from the first position in a direction opposite from the increase direction of the motor output.
