The purpose of the present invention is to provide a water treating device for an aquarium for purifying water using a plasma treating device so as to decompose and remove contaminants in the aquarium, kill bacteria, and effectively improve water quality. Accordingly, the plasma water treating device for the aquarium of the present invention comprises: a supply pipe which is provided with water for the aquarium by means of a pump； a water tank which accommodates the water provided from the supply pipe； a discharge pipe through which the water purified in the water tank is discharged； and the plasma treating device which is installed in the water tank in order to purify the water by discharging plasma-reacted air and gas. The plasma treating device comprises: a transparent dielectric pipe which is installed in water and in which air or gas flows and a discharge electrode is formed； a counter electrode installed in the water on the outside of the dielectric pipe； a power source applying means which generates plasma in the dielectric pipe by applying a power source to the discharge electrode and counter electrode； and a bubble generator which is connected to the dielectric pipe so that the air or gas is converted into multiple bubbles in the water while passing therethrough. The discharge pipe is installed in order to penetrate the side surface of the water tank. The entrance of the discharge pipe for discharging the water of the water tank is disposed in the water at a position lower than a position where the discharge pipe passes through the side surface of the water tank. The discharge pipe is downwardly extended from the outside of the water tank in order to be connected to the aquarium disposed at a lower position than the water tank. The entrance of the discharge pipe is separated at a particular interval from the bubble generator.
