PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire capable of suppressing displacement from the distal end side of a bending part to the proximal end side.SOLUTION: A guide wire 10 includes: a core shaft 20 and a first coil body 30 wound around the core shaft 20. The first coil body 30 includes: a non-dense winding part 30b where respective element wires 31 are separated a first dense winding part 30a that is arranged adjacent to the proximal end side of the non-dense winding part 30b and where the respective element wires 31 have contact with each other and a second dense winding part 30c that is arranged adjacent to the distal end side of the non-dense winding part 30b and where the respective element wires 31 have contact with each other. A first joint part 13 for allowing the first coil body 30 to join with the core shaft 20 is arranged in a boundary part between the non-dense winding part 30b and the first dense winding part 30a.
