PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly versatile warmer capable of delaying a start to generate heat.SOLUTION: This warmer 1 includes :a heat-generating body 10 formed by superposing a heat generating layer 101 containing an oxidizable metal, a water absorbent, and water, and a base material layer 102 and a bag body 20 for storing the heat-generating body 10. The content of the water absorbent in the heat-generating layer 101 is 0.3-20 pts.mass with respect to 100 pts.mass of the oxidizable metal, and a mass ratio (water/water absorbent) of the content of the water absorbent to the water content in the heat-generating layer 101 is 4-20.
