The present invention relates to a health care system and method using iris diagnosis. The system of the present invention comprises: an iris-image-acquiring unit for photographing the iris of a user to acquire an iris image an image-processing unit for processing the iris image acquired by the iris-image-acquiring unit to extract iris characteristic parameters for the type, location, size, and color of the pattern formed on the fibrous tissue of the iris a database unit for storing constitution classification information and health condition information according to the iris characteristic parameters, and health care information for each constitution and a control unit for analyzing the constitution and health condition of the user on a basis of the iris characteristic parameters extracted from the image-processing unit, and providing health care information for the constitution and health condition of the user. The health care system of the present invention operates in connection with a door open/shut system, thereby enabling the user to undergo a constitutional or physical examination in a convenient manner during daily life without setting aside time or performing conscious actions for health examination, and also providing customized health care information appropriate for the constitution of the user.본 발명은 홍채 진단을 통한 건강 관리 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 시스템은 사용자의 홍채를 촬영하여 홍채 영상을 획득하는 홍채 영상 획득부, 홍채 영상 획득부에서 획득된 홍채 영상을 처리하여 홍채의 섬유 조직에 형성되어 있는 무늬의 종류, 위치, 크기 및 색깔에 대한 홍채 특성 파라미터를 추출하는 영상 처리부, 홍채 특성 파라미터에 따른 체질 분류 정보 및 건강 상태 정보와, 체질별 건강 관리 정보를 저장하는 데이터베이스부 및 영상 처리부에서 추출된 홍채 특성 파라미터를 기초로 상기 사용자의 체질 및 건강 상태를 분석하고, 사용자의 체질 및 건강 상태에 따른 체질별 건강 관리 정보를 제공하는 제어부를 포함한다. 본 발명에 의하면 건강 관리 시스템이 도어 개폐 시스템과 연계되어 운영됨으로써 건강 진단을 위해 별도의 시간이나 의식적인 동작을 하지 않고도 일상 생활에서 편리하게 체질 및 건강 진단을 받을 수 있으며, 아울러 체질에 맞는 맞춤형 건강 관리 정보를 제공받을 수 있다.
