An ultrasound image registration apparatus and a method thereof are proposed, adapted for registering two partially overlapped ultrasound images. The proposed apparatus includes a first stage processing module, a registration module, and a second stage processing module. The first stage processing module applies beam-forming processing on the two ultrasound images and generates two raw images. The second stage processing module, connected to the first stage processing module, applies envelope detection and compression processing on the raw images, and generates two developed images. The registration module, connected to the first and the second stage processing module, respectively obtains coordinate information of at least a feature point of the raw images as initial values of the image registration process, applies speckle reduction processing on the developed images, and uses the speckles-reduced images for the image registration process.本揭露提供一種超音波影像對齊裝置及其方法,適用於對齊有部份重疊的二個超音波影像。所述裝置包括第一級處理模組、第二級處理模組與配準模組。第一級處理模組對超音波影像進行波束成形處理,以產生二個原始影像。第二級處理模組連接至第一級處理模組,用來對原始影像進行波封檢測與壓縮處理,以產生二個已成像影像。配準模組,連結於第一與第二級成像處理模組,分別取得原始影像的至少一特徵點的座標資訊作為影像對齊程序的初始值,並對已成像影像進行斑點減少處理,且利用已減少斑點的成像影像進行影像對齊程序。
