The invention relates to a device for administering liquids, in particular for introducing a medicament into the hose line of a transfer unit for enteral or parenteral nutrition. The device according to the invention for administering liquids, in particular for introducing a medicament into the hose line of a transfer unit, has a base body 1 and a closure body 2, which is rotatable in a cylindrical recess 4 of the base body. The base body 1 has an inlet channel 7A and an outlet channel 8A, while the closure body 2 has an inlet channel 11. Depending on the position to which the closure body is rotated, either the inlet channel 7A and the outlet channel 8A of the base body 1 are connected to each other or the inlet channel 11 of the closure body 2 and the outlet channel 8A of the base body 1 are connected to each other. The device according to the invention is characterized in that the closure body 2 executes an axial lifting movement when rotated, wherein the first and second passages 10, 13 are arranged in such a way in the closure body that, in the first position, the first passage 10 of the closure body 1 connects the inlet channel 7A to the outlet channel 8A of the base body 1 and, in the second position of the closure body, connects the inlet channel 11 of the closure body 2 to the outlet channel 8A of the base body 1. The lifting movement of the closure body creates a relatively large free space as regards the optimal flow design of the two passages in the closure body.
