PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorber layer which enables a high-density area to be locally formed in a liquid-absorbable core by a relatively simple manufacturing method, and which can prevent a shape from being lost, by regularly deforming a central part when a user wears a disposable wearing article.SOLUTION: An absorber layer 15 includes a front part 15A that is positioned on the side of a front area 11 of a disposable wearing article 10, a rear part 15B that is positioned on the side of a rear area 12, and an intermediate part 15C that is positioned between the front and rear parts 15A and 15B. A first central recessed groove 44 extended in a lengthwise direction Y is formed in the intermediate part 15C of the absorber layer 15.
