PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method suitable for business sanitary washing capable of exerting excellent sterilizing activity against thermoduric bacteria.SOLUTION: The washing method comprises washing the objects in a washing vessel added with an alkaline detergent or a nonionic detergent with an organic peracid such as peracetic acid. Preferably, in a washing step with a continuous washing machine, an alkaline detergent or a nonionic detergent is added with the organic peracid, and the objects are washed in a detergent solution dissolving these agents.
