The present invention relates to a method of detoxifying sulfur for fodder to use toxicity-removed detoxified sulfur as an additive for feedstuff. A conventional method of detoxifying sulfur has had problems that large amounts of various organic and inorganic raw materials are required, and a process of pretreating the raw materials is cumbersome in order to remove toxicity of sulfur. Therefore, the present invention provides a detoxifying method which is capable of effectively removing harmful components only by using a surfactant and a chelating agent as a method of improving the problems of the conventional sulfur detoxifying method. A preparation method of detoxified sulfur of the present invention comprises mixing and stirring 100 parts by weight of water with 10 to 20 parts by weight of inorganic sulfur, 2 to 5 parts by weight of the surfactant, and 3 to 5 parts by weight of the chelating agent at room temperature in order to remove toxicity of sulfur. The preparation method according to the present invention has its significance in commercializing detoxified sulfur for feedstuff by securing a mass production technology of high purity detoxified sulfur while increasing economic efficiency by simplifying a conventional complicated preparation process by using cleaning and emulsifying functions of the surfactant and a metal ion blocking effect of the chelating agent.
