[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The staple (A) has a body (1) and a pair of legs (2, 3) formed at opposite ends ofthe body (1). The legs (2, 3) are inclined in the direction in which they approacheach other, and one (3) of the legs is twisted in a plane (4) including the body (1)and the other leg (2) in the direction to the outside of the plane (4). The magazine(B) has a body guide section (11) having a dimension substantially the same asor slightly smaller than the length of the body (1) of the staple (A) and guidingthe body (1) while carrying it on the body guide section (11), hanging sections(12) hanging from opposite ends of the body guide section (11) and having a dimensionsmaller than the dimension of the legs (2, 3), and leg guide sections (13) formedat the lower ends of the hanging sections (12) and guiding the heads of the legs(2, 3). Staples (A) are placed in the magazine with the legs (2, 3) inclined tothe downstream side with respect to the discharge direction and with the bodies(1) inclined to the upstream side with respect to the discharge direction.
