PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain giving a mushroom having following features that its cultivation period is short, there is no need to treat it at a low temperature for growth, the shape and nature of carpophore is good and its size is large, and the packaging/transportation at distributive stage is easy since a pileus is developed to be almost free of a stem or a stem is developed and a pileus is hardly developed, as well as its mouth feeling is good.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a novel Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis/Pleurotus eryngii hybrid strain which includes Pleurotus sp. AFRL 6562 (FERM P-21048) and Pleurotus sp.
