PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extendable diaper and a diaper cover covering a diaper or an absorbent pad having extendable side edges (side flaps) which achieve ideal fitting property suitable for the figure of a wearer by distributing fastening force applied on circumferences of the legs and the waist only by pulling fastening tapes arranged on the side edges straight and attaching the tapes on attachment opponent sections.
SOLUTION: At least one of the side edges (Sf and Sr) on the abdominal side and the back side of the extendable diaper 10 has extending property. A predetermined region of the fastening tape 1 is fixed to the outer edge of the at least one of the extendable side edge. In the extendable diaper 10, the outer fixed part Ta of the predetermined region located on the side of an article abdominal front edge Ef or the side of a back rear edge Er is positioned on the absorber 5 side compared to the inner fixed part Tb of the predetermined fixed region located on an article crotch center C side.
