Further disclosed is an immunogen comprising an antigenic IgE peptide linked to an immunogenic carrier, where in the antigenic IgE peptide consists of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:312 (ADSNPRGVSAYLSRPSP), wherein the immunogenic carrier is a Qbeta VLP comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:425, and wherein the antigenic IgE peptide is linked to the immunogenic carrier via a GGC linker joined at the C-terminus of the IgE peptide.
