PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for skin which has an improved feeling of use, enhanced ultraviolet light-shielding with a good feeling of use, and improved formulation stability.SOLUTION: The invention provides an external preparation for skin containing 0.1-8 wt.% of dimethicone crosspolymer, 0.01-20 wt.% of alkyl modified silicone crosspolymer, 0.01-10 wt.% of silicone elastomer surfactant, and 0.1-20 wt.% of oil soluble ultraviolet absorbent. The external preparation for skin does not contain water substantially, and the content of water is 1 wt.% or less.
