PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin external composition which improves reduction in use feeling such as strong sticky feeling, bad extension, skin dry feeling and rough skin caused by a skin external composition containing a liquid oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber at a high ratio and is excellent in ultraviolet protection effect and stability.SOLUTION: A skin external composition contains (A) isosorbide dialkyl ether represented by the general formula (1) and (B) an oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber, which is liquid at 25°C, in the amount of 3 mass% or more and 20 mass% or less relative to the total amount of the skin external composition.
