An injection device, preferably an autoinjector, is operable to deliver a dose of medicament from a syringe or cartridge. The device includes a temperature-sensitive arrangement for inhibiting operation thereof under predetermined temperature conditions. This may comprise a thermally responsive element, such as a bimetallic strip (34, fig 3) that adopts a position in which operation of the device is inhibited (fig 3) at low temperature. In such case, when the temperature is desirably raised, the bimetallic strip will flex inwards (fig 4) allowing trigger button 38 to be depressed. In a second aspect, an injection device includes an externally visible heat-sensitive indicator (40, fig 2) operable to provide a visual indication of the operational state of the device under predetermined temperature conditions.
