PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having superior leakage prevention property by stably retaining side leakage prevention parts in liquid catchable states.
SOLUTION: This absorbent article is provided with an absorbent body 6 having an absorptive layer 20 and a leakage prevention layer 30, and the pair of side leakage prevention parts 7 and 7 provided in the both sides of the body 6. At least part of the side leakage prevention part 7 is formed of a three-dimensional sheet 10 formed with multiple joint portions 4 by partially joining a first layer 2 consisting of nonwoven fabric with a second layer 3 consisting of a sheet-like material. The three-dimensional sheet 10 is so formed that parts of the first layer 2 other than the joint portions 4 project to the side of the first layer 2 to form multiple projection portions 5, the projection portions 5 and the joint portions 4 are alternately disposed into a line in one direction, and multiple lines are disposed. In the side leakage prevention part 7, a surface 7a facing the absorptive layer 20 is formed of the surface in the side of the first layer 2 of the three-dimensional sheet 10.
