PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Cleyera japonica extract is provided to actively remove free radial and to suppress tyrosinase. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition contains 0,0001-10.0 wt% of yera japonica extract as an active ingredient. The extract has antioxidative, skin whitening, or anti-wrinkling effect and is prepared using water or organic solvent. The organic solvent is methanol, ethanol, propanol, isopropanol, butanol, acetone, ether, benzene, chloforom, ethyl acetate, or methylene chloride.
