PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique constituted so as to acquire the tomographic image of the eyeground in a state that the visual axis of a subject is stabilized.SOLUTION: An optical coherence tomographic imaging device is constituted so as not only to perform primary scanning on the surface, which crosses the optical axis of the light applied to the eyeground at a right angle, along a predetermined direction but also to stepwise alter the start point of primary scanning along the direction crossing the predetermined direction at a right angle to irradiate the respective scanning lines in the scanning region of the eyeground with light. The optical coherence tomographic imaging device is equipped with a control means for altering the start points with respect to a plurality of the scanning lines in the scanning region at every scanning timing to set the same and executing the primary scanning along the predetermined direction from all of the set starting points within a predetermined time and a means for forming the tomographic image of the eyeground on the basis of the reflected light from the eyeground obtained by the primary scanning executed corresponding to each of the scanning timings. Here, the control means sets the start points so that the average of coordinates along the orthogonal direction in the scanning regions of all of the start points set at every scanning timing coincides with the center along the orthogonal direction in the scanning regions.
