Eine Vorrichtung (30) dient zum Reinigen einer flexiblen Hohlwelle (10) eines medizinischen Instrumentes, deren Wandung mit Öffnungen (22) versehen ist. Die Vorrichtung (30) weist einen Hohlraum (34) auf, in dem zumindest ein Abschnitt der Hohlwelle (10) aufnehmbar ist. In den Hohlraum (34) ist über einen Anschluss (40) eine Reinigungsflüssigkeit (45) zuführbar. Eine Innenwand (38) des Hohlraumes (34) steht in radialem Abstand zur Außenseite der Hohlwelle (10). Es sind axial voneinander beabstandete Strömungswiderstandsmittel, sei es in Form von Dichtungsmitteln (50, 51), sei es in Form von schmalen Ringspälten, vorhanden, die einen Raum (58) zwischen der Außenseite der Hohlwelle (10) und der Innenwand (38) des Hohlraumes (34) in axialer Richtung abdichten bzw. begrenzen (Fig. 4).The device has a body (32) with a cavity (34) and formed as a hollow cylinder, where a section of a hollow shaft is received in the body.
