Disclosed are compositions comprising the pyridinyl imidazoles of formula I, intended for use as pesticides. Examples of such compounds being (2,5-dimethyl-4-pyridin-3-yl-imidazol-1-yl)-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester and N-(2-chloro-4-(pyridin-3-yl)-1H-imidazol-1-yl)acetamide. Also disclosed is a process of applying the compositions of the invention to a non-human area in order to control a pest.
