The present invention provides a small molecule inhibitor for adipose triglyceride lipase (ATGL) with the molecule having IC 50 concentrations in the submicromolar range. The inhibitor has the basic structure (I) as disclosed herein and is a competitive inhibitor that does not affect the activity of other known acylglycerol hydrolases. The inhibitor is orally bioavailable and capable of inhibiting lipolysis in vivo, such that it is therefore capable of serving as lead structure for the identification of further inhibitors.La présente invention concerne un inhibiteur à petite molécule de la triglycéride lipase adipeuse (ATGL), la molécule ayant des concentrations CI50 dans la plage sub-micromolaire. L'inhibiteur a la structure de base (I) telle que définie dans la description et est un inhibiteur compétitif qui n'affecte pas l'activité d'autres acylglycérol hydrolases connues.
