PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of improving defects of a taste such as projection of an unpleasant sharp acid taste or a bitter taste in a beverage containing a specific plant extract or a beverage further containing arginine.SOLUTION: The taste of a beverage containing one or two or more kinds of plant extracts selected from a chrysanthemum, a Polygonatum falcatum, a Mallotus japonicus and a guarana can be improved by adding phytic acid as an acidulant. This invention is applicable optimally to a beverage of coffee flavor.
