PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize and simplify a device without using a large-scale expanding/contracting circuit in an endoscope system for combining a normal image with a special image to acquire a composited image.

SOLUTION: The endoscope system which includes: an imaging apparatus provided with a first imaging system for imaging a special image and a second imaging system which has optical magnification different from the first imaging system and images a normal image and an image processor which performs expanding processing or contracting processing so that a fluorescent image and the normal image are in the same size, and generates a composited image on the basis of the special image and the normal image wherein at least one of the first imaging system and the second imaging system is provided with a focus adjustment mechanism, while an image side telecentric optical system is configured, and the expanding processing or contracting processing is performed by a preset fixed expanding/contracting ratio.
