PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform fine hue adjustment matched with the purpose of an examination to images acquired by an electronic endoscope.
SOLUTION: The hue of the image is adjusted by replacing the value of the color of each pixel which forms the image by using a replacement table (LUT) (S502). In the replacement table, the correspondence of the colors is defined so that a hue in a range of the color which is necessary for diagnosis is wider than a hue in a range of the color which is not necessary for diagnosis. The replacement table is prepared for each purpose of the examination and is used properly.
