According to the invention, a provision is made that the lateral supports (5, 6) are attached to the chassis (2) such that they can be swiveled about a horizontal axis from a first, backwardly tilted position for pushing the walking and transport aid device (1) from behind and/or for supporting the user while walking inside and/or behind the walking and transport aid device (1) and/or for the user to sit on the walking and transport aid device (1) into at least one forwardly tilted position for pulling the walking and transport aid device (1) from the front.
