PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which has soft texture so as to give an excellent wearing feeling to a wearer and is excellent in adhesion to the excretion part of the body.
SOLUTION: A surface sheet 10 comprises a nonwoven fabric alternately having ridge parts 20 and groove parts 30 extending in the longitudinal direction of the article 1. On the skin abutting surface side of the surface sheet 10, a pair of linear grooves 60 formed by integrating the surface sheet 10 and an absorbent body 12 by pressure bonding are formed. The linear groove 60 has a center part 60A extending in the longitudinal direction of the article 1, and a front end part 60B and a rear end part 60C from respective front and rear ends in the longitudinal direction of the center part 60A to the inner part of the article 1. The absorbent body 12 has a low rigidity area 12A and a high rigidity area 12B positioned at the center part in the width direction of the article 1, and the linear groove 60 is formed in the low rigidity area 12A. The low rigidity area 12A is present between the pair of linear grooves 60 and the high rigidity area 12B is present more on the outer part in the width direction of the article 1 than the pair of center parts 60A and 60A.
