A method for the optimization of radiation therapy treatment plans is disclosed. The disclosed method is equally-applicable to robotic radiosurgery as well as other types of radiosurgical delivery, intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), and three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT). A population-based heuristic approximation is used to perform a global search, and subsequently, a deterministic local trajectory search is employed to further refine the initial solution.La présente invention concerne un procédé doptimisation de planifications de traitements par radiothérapie. Le procédé décrit est aussi bien applicable à une radiochirurgie robotique quà dautres types dadministrations radiochirurgicales, de radiothérapie avec modulation de lintensité de la dose (IMRT), darcthérapies avec modulation du volume (VMAT), et de radiothérapie conformationnelle tridimensionnelle (3DCRT). Une approximation heuristique se basant sur une population est utilisée pour effectuer une recherche globale, et ensuite, une recherche de trajectoire locale déterministe est utilisée pour affiner encore la solution initiale.
