PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative ion and nanomist generating device capable of preventing scattering of water which is scattered by centrifugal force by rotation of a rotating body to an unexpected place without increasing the dimensions of the device.
SOLUTION: In this negative ion and nanomist generating device comprising the mortar-shaped rotating body 21 submerged in a water storage section 6 at its lower section and having a diameter expanded upward, a motor 19 for rotation disposed at an upper section of the rotating body 21 for rotating the rotating body 21, a cylindrical porous body 26 which is positioned at an outer periphery of the rotating body 21 and rotated with the rotating body 21, and through which the water scattered by the centrifugal force by the rotation and the air pass, and an air guide cylinder 28 disposed at an interval to an outer periphery of the porous body 26, and guiding the outside air flowing therein from the upper part of the rotating body 21 to the outer periphery of the porous body 26, as a flange section 35 projecting inward is disposed, in the air guide cylinder 28, on an inner peripheral edge of the air guide cylinder 28 at a height position between a top face of the rotating body 21 and a lower face of the motor 19 for rotation, the scattering of the water scattered by the rotation of the rotating body 21 to the unexpected place can be prevented without increasing the dimension of the device.
