The present invention provides a method for encapsulating chlorine dioxide including preparing an aqueous solution of chlorine dioxide, preparing an encapsulating suspension, and adding the aqueous solution of chlorine dioxide into the encapsulating suspension under a temperature of 0-30 ℃ for encapsulating chlorine dioxide molecules by the encapsulating reagent. The encapsulating suspension includes an encapsulating reagent. The encapsulating reagent is a particle of silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, hectorite or sodium magnesium silicate.
