PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent composition for food products, medical drug, animal food or the like by using β-glucan and extract of beans in combination.SOLUTION: β-glucan and extract of beans are used as active ingredients of a composition for enhancing thrombospondin-1 gene expression. Further, β-glucan and extract of beans are used for producing the composition for enhancing thrombospondin-1 gene expression. It is preferable that the β-glucan be derived from microorganism which belongs to Aureobasidium sp.
