The invention relates to a safety injection device for a syringe. The inventive device comprises a support sheath (14), a syringe barrel (10) which is solidly connected to the support sheath and a protective sheath (16) which can move between a retracted position and an extended protective position. The device also comprises protective-sheath-retaining means (17) which can be biased in order to enable said sheath to be extended. The syringe barrel (10) is solidly connected to the support sheath (14) by means of a ring (20) comprising an essentially-transverse connecting wall (22). According to the invention, the connecting wall is equipped with at least one slot (23) which enables the aforementioned retaining means to be biased from the side of the connecting wall (22) opposite the distal end of the support sheath.Le dispositif comprend un fourreau de support (14), un corps de seringue (10) solidaire de ce fourreau et un fourreau de protection (16) déplaçable entre une position rentrée et une position sortie de protection.
