PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument by which the force acting on an object to be gripped can be visually perceived in the vicinity of an operator by reducing vision line movement from an operation site.
SOLUTION: The medical instrument is constituted of an operation section including fixed-finger engaging section 21 and a moving-finger engaging section 22, a coupling tube 26 connected to the fixed-finger engaging section 21 via a resilient member 13, a grip 28, an operating rod 25 connecting the moving-finger engaging section 22 and the grip 28, a fixed-side moire slit plate 11 connected with the coupling tube 26, and the moving-side moire slit plate 12 connected with the fixed-finger engaging section 21. The fixed-side moire slit plate 11 and the moving-side moire slit plate 12 are arranged by superposing them each on other, the article to be gripped is gripped by the grip 28, the fixed-side finger engaging section 21 rotates around the end 24 of the operating rod 25 as the supporting point while the grip 28 is opened according to the thickness of the article to be gripped, the moving-side moire slit plate 12 is slid by deforming the resilient member 13, and the force for gripping the object is displayed by moire fringes Y.
