PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope device which can securely discriminate the type of an optical adaptor even if a contact resistance between the optical adaptor and a tip portion largely changes and can prevent erroneous use when a measurement error becomes large and type recognition is possibly recognized erroneously in the worst case when an element such as a resistor that can easily be mounted for discriminating the type of the optical adaptor is used.SOLUTION: The endoscope device includes the optical adaptor 22 equipped with a discriminating resistor 24, a standard resistor 26 arranged so that the optical adaptor 22 may be detachably attached to the endoscope end, and connected in series with the discriminating resistor 24 while the optical adaptor 22 is installed, a DC electric source 11 connected in series with the standard resistor 26, and an endoscope 23 provided with a control circuit 13 to discriminate the type of the optical adaptor 22 through calculation of the capacity of the discriminating resistor 24, based on the voltage value of a connection point A between the discriminating resistor 24 and the standard resistor 26.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】光学アダプタの種類判別のために容易に実装可能な抵抗などの素子を用いる場合において、光学アダプタと先端部との接触抵抗が大きく変化しても確実に種類を判別することができ、更に、測定誤差が大きくなって、万が一種類判別を誤認識する可能性がある場合には、誤使用を防止することができる、内視鏡装置を提供する。【解決手段】判別用抵抗24を備えた光学アダプタ22と、光学アダプタ22が先端部に着脱自在であり、光学アダプタ22が装着された状態において判別用抵抗24と直列に接続されるように配置された基準抵抗26と、基準抵抗26と直列接続された直流電源11と、判別用抵抗24と基準抵抗26との接続点Aの電圧値に基づき判別用抵抗24の容量を算出して光学アダプタ22の種類を判別する制御回路13とを備えた内視鏡23と、を有することを特徴とする。【選択図】図4
