The purpose of the present invention is to provide a tomographic image reading system and a tomographic image reading method, the tomographic image reading system in which total processed data and storage capacity of a tomographic image are decreased, a lesion site of a patient is quickly and easily read by extracting an image differential value from a series of tomographic images, and read data and storage capacity of the tomographic image are decreased and reading speed is increased by setting a reading exemption range, thereby enhancing overall tomographic image reading efficiency.
