PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of generating lot of ions without reducing the airflow rate even when an ion generator is provided on the upstream side of the air outlet of the air cleaning device.
SOLUTION: The air conditioner is equipped with a centrifugal air blower 3 comprising an air flow path 11a formed in the main body 11 in communication with the air inlet 1 and the air outlet 2, an air filter 4 provided in the flow path 11a, an electrostatic atomizer 6, and a casing 5. The flow path 11a on the upstream side of the air outlet 2 is formed with flat side plate 5a constituting the casing 5 and an electrostatic atomizer 6 is disposed on the side end along the flow path 11a. This can save a space to form an air trunk in the main body 11 and make the air flow smooth in the flow path 11a. This can provide an air conditioner capable of fully performing the electrostatic atomizing function by suppressing the reduction in the air flow rate even when an electrostatic atomizer 6 is provided in the flow path 11a.
