PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that is provided with an axial flow type or a diagonal flow type blower downstream from an intake of a casing and also provided with a heat exchanger downstream from the blower, the air conditioner capable of preventing deterioration in power consumption efficiency and an increase in noise, an increase in thickness and dimension of a casing, and a decrease in mounting volume of the heat exchanger.SOLUTION: An indoor unit 100 of an air conditioner is provided with a dust collection filter 10 movably at an upper intake 2 of the casing, with an axial flow type or diagonal flow type blower 4 equipped downstream from the dust collection filter 10, and with a heat exchanger 5 equipped downstream from the blower 4. Further, the indoor unit 100 includes a moving device which moves the dust collection filter 10 and a cleaning device which cleans the dust collection filter 10. In the casing, an air path and a non-air path 9 formed at a side part of the air path are formed in the casing, and the moving device and the cleaning device are arranged at upper parts in the non-air path 9.
