PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant that produces excellent cooling effect and that is extremely safe.SOLUTION: The refrigerant includes at least water and a sugar alcohol, and is cooled in a freezer before being used. The cooling deposits crystals of the sugar alcohol, and when the refrigerant is used, external heat melts ice formed during the cooling, and the deposited sugar-alcohol crystals dissolve again in water resulting from the melted ice with heat absorption.
