PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide rice ball-shaped ice cream which has an appearance which can allow a person to enjoy, is excellent in taste, and evokes demand of users, and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: There is provided the ice cream formed into a rice ball-shape, the ice cream is formed into a flat and almost triangular prism shape in a contour, the ice cream has a member in a center part of the ice cream whose color is different from that of the outside part, the material 2 on the center part and the outside part are different in taste. The production method of the rice ball shaped ice cream comprises at least: a step for preparing a material of ice cream becoming a main body by using a component 3 being formed into an almost triangular gutter-shape and comprising a mechanism for cooling from outside; a step for pouring the material of the ice cream becoming the main body to the component; a step for freezing the material of the ice cream by the mechanism for cooling from outside; and a step for taking out the frozen triangular prism shaped ice cream and cutting the same.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT【課題】見た目が楽しく食味にも優れ、消費者の需要を喚起するおにぎり型アイスクリーム及びその製造方法の提供。【解決手段】おにぎりの形状を模したアイスクリームであって、外形は扁平な略三角柱の形状を為し、中央部に外側部分とは異なる呈色の部材が配置されてなり、該中央部の材料2と該外側部分が異なる食味に構成されている、おにぎり型アイスクリーム。略三角樋状の形状を有し外部から冷却する機構を有する部品3を用い、本体となるアイスクリームの材料を調製する工程と、該部品に本体となるアイスクリームの材料を流し込む工程と、該外部から冷却する機構によりアイスクリームの材料を凍結する工程と、凍結した三角柱状のアイスクリームを取り出し切断する工程と、を少なくとも経て製造されることを特徴とする、おにぎり型のアイスクリームの製造方法。【選択図】図1
