The sower has a central dosing organ (13) exhibiting a cell wheel (21) arranged in a housing, where the cell wheel is drivable with adjustable rotational speed by an adjusting and driving device. The cell wheel exhibits cell bars that divide individual cells (24) from each other and extends approximately in axial or transverse direction, where the cell bars (23) are formed in an elastic manner. The housing has a base (26) that ends at or in the proximity of an outer periphery of the cell wheel in a lower region. An independent claim is also included for a method for deploying oil seeds with a sower.
