PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion section of an endoscope preventing the deterioration and damage of a tightly binding thread due to exfoliation of adhesive under sever environment such as autoclave by firmly sticking adhesive applied to the outer face of a tightly bound part, to the outer circumferential face of a distal end body.

SOLUTION: An adhesive filling groove having such a depth that its base 34 has an almost equal height to that of the tightly binding thread 11 is formed around the whole circumference of the outer circumference part of the distal end body 3 adjacent to the tip side of the tightly bound section 11, and the distal wall 35 of the adhesive filling groove is formed into a slope face erecting from the base at an angle forming an obtuse angle to the base 34.
