FORMULATIONS DE ZEAXANTHINE AVEC NUTRIMENTS D'ACTIVITE OCULAIRE ADDITIONNELS, POUR LA PROTECTION DE LA SANTE OCULAIRE ET LE TRAITEMENT DE TROUBLES OCULAIRES
Oral formulations for promoting eye health, and in particular for preventingor treating macular degeneration, are disclosed, containing: (i) zeaxanthin, acarotenoid, as a crucial and essential ingredient； (ii) a dosage of elementalzinc not exceeding about 40 mg/day, and preferably in a range of about 10 toabout 30 mg/day； and, (iii) at least two or more additional ocular-activenutrients that provide synergistic eye and vision benefits when combined withzeaxanthin and zinc, selected from lipoic acid, omega-3 fatty acids, plant-derived compounds such as flavonoids, anthocyanins, or polyphenolics, taurine,carnitine, Coenzyme-Q10, carnosine, nutrients such as N-acetyl cysteine thatstimulate the production of glutathione, and folic acid. Dosage ranges arespecified for: (i) high-dosage therapeutic supplements for treating patientssuffering from a known and ongoing ocular problem； and, (ü) lower-dosagesustenance or preventive supplements for preventing problems and forpreserving eye health and vision in people who are not currently sufferingfrom an ongoing ocular problem.
