An endoscopic clip applier includes a flexible tube, a control member extending through the flexible tube, a pair of jaws, an actuator and a store for clips. The store of clips is arranged adjacent to the jaw assembly and a clip pusher is arranged adjacent to the store of clips. The penultimate clip engages the ultimate clip to link the penultimate and ultimate clips within the store. A pair of biased stops is arranged to grip opposite sides of a proximal portion of the penultimate clip to prevent it being removed from the store.
