PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for tomato selection that can simply and economically sort and remove defective tomatoes from a great deal of tomatoes taken from the farm field into the processing factory, particularly removing necrotic tomatoes securely.SOLUTION: The tomatoes are conveyed from the upper part of the water tank 11 into the water flow 61, and separated into sinking tomatoes and sinking ones while they are allowed to move by the water flow 61.
