PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding tool for a bird damage prevention cable capable of easily stretching a cable along an electric wire.SOLUTION: The holding tool includes: a holder body 8 supported by an electric wire 2 a shaft body 9 projecting vertically upward from the holder body 8 and a plate-shaped holding body 10 continuous with a tip of the shaft body 9 and to which a cable 7 is wound. The holding body 10 includes: a pair of wound portions 11a, 11b perpendicular to the axis L1 of the shaft body 9 and side wall portions 13a, 13b extending between both end portions of each of winding portions 11a, 11b.
