PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new functional material using hydroxyapatite. SOLUTION: The method comprises: a step of dispersing a carrier and hydroxyapatite, or a carrier having hydroxyapatite adhered to a surface thereof, in a dispersion medium to obtain a dispersion, and a step of drying the dispersion. It is a method for producing an apatite-containing porous support. The step of drying the dispersion liquid is preferably a step of drying the dispersion liquid by vacuum drying.
