PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fractionation method for efficiently taking out a component of leaf of Eucommia ulmoides Oliver, particularly a pharmaceutical component such as an iridoid compound and to provide a fractionated material of leaf of Eucommia ulmoides Oliver containing a specific component in high concentration and to provide an antiobestic agent, a composition for oral ingestion, a medicinal composition, a food composition, a medicine and a food, each using a natural material as a raw material, which are safe also when taken into the human body over a long period because of little adverse effect.SOLUTION: The fractionated material of water extract of leaf of Eucommia ulmoides Oliver is obtained by adsorbing a water extract of leaf of Eucommia ulmoides Oliver obtained from dried Eucommia ulmoides Oliver into a reverse phase synthetic adsorbing agent, washing the adsorbed material with water and carrying out elution from the adsorbed material by using 5-80 vol.% methanol aqueous solution.
